Taylor Bowles, the world's oldest bowls manufacturer will be the headline sponsor for the Champion of Champions World Singles events, which will be hosted for World Bowls at the Moama Bowling Club, Moama on the Murray River, New South Wales, Australia from 20th to the 26th September.

Announcing the five figure package, Gary Smith, Executive Officer of World Bowls said "On behalf of World Bowls I welcome, with deep appreciation, the substantial commitment and the foresight of Taylor Bowls in being at the forefront in agreeing to be the first headline sponsor of the World Champion of Champions Singles event.

"The concept for the event, which will provide the opportunity on an annual basis for all male and female 'grass roots' bowlers worldwide to potentially progress to become a World Champion, has been enthusiastically embraced by our Member National Authorities and their National Singles Champions, as evidenced by the high number of entries received for the event this year - with 28 men and 23 women participating.

"The attractive concept and format has undoubtedly been a major factor in securing commercial and media interest, with the later stages of the event receiving television coverage."

Speaking from Taylor Bowls' Head Office in Glasgow, Managing Director Mr. Alex Heron commented "We are delighted to be involved in this sponsorship opportunity in conjunction with World Bowls, as we both have a duty to encourage, support and develop the growth of the sport from the basic grass roots level and upwards, throughout the world.
